The Aussiedown sheep is a breed of domestic sheep which was originated from Australia. Today it is mainly distributed in the New South Wales, Victoria.
It was developed in the early 1990s by usingSouthdownandTexelgenetics. And the resulting progeny have a maximum of 75 percent Southdown and Texel ancestry.
Today the Aussiedown sheep are mainly raised as prime lamb sires, by crossing them over purebred or crossbred ewes.

Aussiedown Sheep Characteristics
